OnlyFumes take

Hamdan The Sheikh is very, very close to Dior Sauvage Parfum, especially in the opening and overall scent bubble. The drydown is the main difference because Dior gets smoother and creamier, while Hamdan stays a little fresher and woodier. For the price, this is one of the strongest Sauvage Parfum-style buys I have smelled.

Scent journey

How this one moves

01

First read

A very close Sauvage Parfum-style alternative with strong value and a slightly fresher, less creamy drydown.

02

How it wears

Performance is strong for what this is. I would expect around 7 to 9 hours of longevity, with noticeable projection for the first 2 to 3 hours depending on sprays and weather. It is not uncontrolled, but it has enough push to work as an office scent, dressed-up scent, night-out scent, and daily blue-style signature. Mass appeal is very high, around 91%. If someone likes Sauvage-style fresh spicy amber woods, they are probably in that 91%. The small group that may not connect with it will be people who hate Sauvage DNA, dislike aromatic ambroxan-style blue fragrances, or want the exact creamy Dior Parfum drydown.

03

Skin scent

Close to the skin, Hamdan becomes clean woods, soft amber, a little incense, and a musky vanilla-tonka sweetness in the background. It keeps the Sauvage-style blue darkness, but it is not as buttery or creamy as Dior in the final stage. The skin scent is attractive because it still smells polished and masculine instead of collapsing into generic musk. What I like most is that even after the projection calms down, it still smells like the same fragrance. Some clones open close and then disappear into a cheap base. This does not do that. It just becomes a cleaner, woodier version of the Sauvage Parfum idea. PERFORMANCE, WEARABILITY & VALUE Performance is strong for what this is.
